Tigaon, Camarines Sur – Tig-aw festival is held every second week of August before the celebration of the town fiesta in honor of St. Claire of Assisi on August 12. The main purpose of the celebration is to give a humble compliment to the local shrub named “tigaw” where the name Tigaon came from. Tigaw shrub grows abundantly along the river banks of Tigaon
The highlights of the festivity are Eucharistic celebration, colorful cultural presentations of drama and interpretative dance that showcase the talents of Tigaoneños, tig-aw parade, street dancing competition; job fairs for both local and overseas employment and go and grow negosyo.
